Orders in BulkSource can be edited after they've been created, provided the order has not yet been marked as Completed. This article covers what can be edited, key limitations to be aware of, and how order status affects visibility in the Scale House Module.
Order Status Requirements
For an order to appear in the Scale House Module, it must be in Placed or In Progress status. Orders that are still saved as a draft quote will not be visible or selectable in the Scale House Module — the order must be formally placed first.
What Can Be Edited
Most order details can be updated after the order has been placed, including:
- Order From — the seller contact and address information
- Main Details — PO#, priority, and address
- Customer Project — master/child project, tax jurisdiction, project dates, and delivery address
- Products — product selection, delivery method, quantity, UOM, FOB price, haul rates, and quantity enforcement
- Notes — internal notes can be added or updated at any time using the Create Note button
To make changes, use the Change, Change Main Details, Change Project, or Update Project buttons within the relevant section of the order.
What Cannot Be Edited
The Customer on an order cannot be changed once the order has been created. If a different customer needs to be assigned, a new quote or order will need to be created.
Permission Restrictions
The ability to edit orders may be restricted based on a user's permission level. If a user is unable to modify an order, it is likely due to their account permissions. Contact your administrator to review access settings if needed.
