Overview
The BulkSource Connector is required for scale communication where a COM-port or IP interface is used. Because the installer has a limited download history, Microsoft SmartScreen may flag the executable as unrecognized. The file may still be downloaded and executed if the user proceeds through the security prompts.
PC Requirements
We stopped supporting Windows 7 in 2023 (3 years after Microsoft ended support). If you are receiving an error regarding "Unable to execute file: This version is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need a x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher". Please use a Windows 10 or 11 PC.
Downloading the Connector
Download the installer from the Company Settings page: BulkSource Company Settings. Or, please find the latest that you can download here: BulkSourceConnectorSetup-v2.0.2.7.exe. Note, the screenshots below may refer to a previous version, however the latest version will be found on the Company Settings page.
Because of limited distribution, Microsoft Edge or Windows Defender may display warnings indicating that the file is not commonly downloaded. These warnings are related to SmartScreen reputation filtering, not to a known security threat.

Initial Warning
A message may appear stating that the file is “not commonly downloaded.”
Select Allow or Keep.
Secondary Prompt
A second confirmation may appear. Select Keep anyway to permit the download.
Windows Defender SmartScreen Warning
When launching the installer, Windows may block execution and display:
Windows protected your PC
Select the down arrow next to the Delete, then select Keep anyway
Select More info to reveal additional options, then select Run anyway to continue installation.
Verifying Installed Version
After installation, confirm that version 2.0.0.3 is active:
Open Task Manager
Locate BulkSource Connector
Right-click the process and select Properties and navigate to the Details tab.
Confirm the version number reads 2.0.0.3
Launching the Application
Once version verification is complete:
Locate the Connector icon in the Windows taskbar system tray (bottom-right of the desktop)
Select the upward arrow to display background applications
Right-click BulkSource Connector (the icon is the BulkSource icon)
Select Open
This opens the running instance of the Connector from background mode.
Running as Administrator
If version 2.0.0.3 is confirmed:
Locate the desktop shortcut for BulkSource Connector
Right-click the icon
Select Run as administrator
Expected Interface Components (v2.0.0.0)
Once opened, the connector interface will display:
Configuration needs to match the physical scale communication settings.
