When creating a scale ticket, working through the form from top to bottom and left to right will help ensure nothing is missed. Below are the most frequent issues users encounter and how to resolve them.
1. Incorrect Site or Scale Selected
Always verify that the correct Site and Scale are selected at the top of the page before filling out the rest of the ticket. Orders and available products are tied to specific sites — if the wrong site is selected, the correct order and materials will not appear.
2. Order or Product Not Appearing
If an order or product isn't showing up, verify the following:
- The product is on the order at the selected site
- The product is active at that site
- The product is active on the customer's price list
- The customer is assigned to the correct price list
3. Spelling Errors in Search Fields
All fields in the Scale House Module are searchable by text. If a customer, product, or order isn't appearing in search results, double-check for spelling errors before assuming the record doesn't exist.
4. Retail Transaction Not Set Correctly
Before proceeding, confirm whether this ticket should be marked as a Retail Transaction using the toggle near the top left. This affects how the ticket is processed and billed.
5. Tax Jurisdiction Not Selected for Delivery
If Delivery is selected as the delivery method, a Tax Jurisdiction must be manually selected. If Pickup / Self Haul is chosen, the tax jurisdiction will default to the site's jurisdiction automatically.
6. Time Out Is Before Time In
Under the Date section on the right side of the form, make sure the Time Out is set to a time that is later than the Time In. Reversing these will cause an error when posting the ticket.
7. Additional Items Not Configured Correctly
If additional items are added to the ticket, verify that the correct quantities are entered and that a price is populating for each item before posting.
8. Page Not Loading Correctly
If any part of the Scale House Module appears to not be loading or refreshing correctly, try the following:
- Press Ctrl + Shift + R to force a hard refresh of the page
- Or navigate away to another page and then return to the Scale House Module
