Invoices Overview
Invoices convert ticketed transactions into payable records, applying late fees, adjustments, taxes, and other charges as configured. All tickets, including retail tickets paid at the time of sale through the Scale House module, are automatically converted to invoices to maintain consistent financial records.
Invoice Requirements
Every invoice must include at least one scale ticket.
Important: If you need to edit information on a scale ticket after it has been added to an invoice, you must first remove the ticket from the invoice. Once the ticket has been corrected, it can be re-added to the invoice.
Customer Portal and Invoice Delivery
Email Invoices:
To send invoices via email, the customer must have at least one contact designated to receive invoices. Ensure that:
- The customer has at least one active contact
- The contact is marked as an Accounts Payable (A/P) contact or invoice recipient
- The contact has a valid email address on file
Customer Portal Access:
Customers can be invited to access the BulkSource Customer Portal, where they can:
- View and pay invoices online
- Review scale tickets associated with their account
- Access quotes and orders
- View all information specific to their customer account
To grant portal access, you must send a customer portal invitation from the customer's record in BulkSource. Once invited, customers can log in to manage their account independently.
For more information on inviting customers to the portal, see the Customer Portal Invitations article.
