Creating Invoices
There are two methods for creating invoices in BulkSource: Manual and Batch.
Manual Invoice Creation
When creating invoices manually, you can create an invoice for one customer at a time and select specific tickets to include.
Accessing Manual Invoice Creation
To access batch invoice creation, select "No, I'll do it" when prompted with "Include scale ticket data automatically?"
How Manual Invoice Creation Works:
- Select a customer
- Only scale tickets associated with that customer will be displayed
- Manually select which tickets to include on the invoice
Important: Invoice Date vs. Due Date
- Invoice Date (Set Invoice Date) -- This is the date from which late fees are calculated. It is critical to set this date accurately, as it determines when the payment terms clock begins.
- Due Date -- The due date displayed on the invoice may differ from the calculated due date based on payment terms. However, late fee calculations are based on the customer's assigned payment terms, not the displayed due date.
Example:
If a customer has Net 30 payment terms and the invoice date is set to February 1st, late fees will begin accruing on March 4th (30 days after the invoice date), regardless of what due date is shown on the invoice PDF.
This ensures that late fees are applied consistently according to the customer's payment terms configuration.
