The Connections & Invites tab is where customer portal access is initiated.
Customer portal invitations can be sent to any active contact associated with the customer account. It is not necessary to invite every contact. A common and recommended approach is to invite one or a small number of trusted users, such as an owner, manager, or primary administrator.
Once invited users create their portal login, they are able to manage additional users within their organization, including inviting new users and assigning permissions as needed. This allows customers to self-manage portal access without requiring ongoing administrative involvement from your team.
When sending a portal invitation, you may include an optional custom message. This message appears in the invitation email, which is branded with BulkSource but presented as coming from your company. The email references your company name and includes the personalized message to provide context for the invitation.
Troubleshooting Customer Login Issues
If a customer is unable to log in or is experiencing difficulty accessing the portal, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Network tab and locate the customer account: https://app.bulksource.com/material-sales/network/customers
- Open the Connections & Invites tab to check whether the customer has created a portal account.
- If their invitation shows as accepted, an account has been created. If it does not appear accepted, you can resend the invitation directly from this tab.
- If the customer has an account but cannot log in, they may need to reset their password. Direct them to the login page and have them use the "Forgot Password" option.
- nvitation and password reset emails may occasionally be filtered into the customer's Junk or Spam folder. This can happen because BulkSource email domains may not yet be recognized by Microsoft or Google mail servers. Ask the customer to check there if they do not see the email in their inbox.
- The invitation expires after 7 days.
- If the issue persists after the above steps, collect the customer's email address and escalate to your administrator, who can access the admin panel to issue a temporary password.
