After creating the user with an active email address, they will receive an invitation to create a BulkSource account. If the invitation email is missed or lost, you can return to the user’s account and select Resend Invite.
Note: The invitation email may appear in the user’s Junk or Spam folder.
You can initially create users using a placeholder email address by leveraging email plus addressing. For example, you can use your own email and add a “+” so BulkSource recognizes it as a unique address. This is an effective way to set up permissions as users must be created before you can setup permissions.
How it works:
Email providers such as Gmail treat anything after a “+” (for example, yourname+bulksource@gmail.com) as the same inbox as yourname@gmail.com, while still recognizing it as a distinct email address.
How to use it:
When creating the user, enter an email in the format yourname+anything@provider.com. You’ll receive the emails in your primary inbox.
Example: your email is YOURNAME@PROVIDER.COM, you'd add a user with YOURNAME+USER1@PROVIDER.COM to setup a temporary email.
Optional filtering:
You can create email filters (for example, in Gmail) to automatically label or organize messages sent to these “+” addresses, helping keep your inbox organized.
When you’re ready to invite the user, you can update the email address to their correct email and send the invitation link.
