BulkSource provides a robust Scale Configuration module within Company Settings, allowing each location to manage one or more scales with independent configurations. These settings control how BulkSource communicates with each scale, how tickets are printed, and what information is displayed on the ticket.
When using the BulkSource default ticket template, administrators can configure up to two custom fields that appear directly on scale tickets.
Each custom field can be:
- Named according to your business needs
- Configured to allow any value, or
- Configured with validation from a predefined list
When list-based validation is used, administrators define which values are acceptable. For example, a custom field may be used to capture whether a driver is on or off the truck or scale, with those options enforced via a dropdown selection.
These custom fields are designed to support structured data capture during ticketing while maintaining fast, efficient scale operations.
Important note:
Custom fields configured in this section apply only when using the BulkSource default ticket template. If your organization uses a custom ticket template built by BulkSource, ticket layout and displayed fields are fully customizable through that template instead, and these default custom field settings are not used.
This distinction ensures flexibility for highly customized ticketing requirements while preserving simplicity for standard deployments.
